Terms & Conditions

Chefted ("we", "us", "our") provides a subscription software service for continuous employee coaching and skills development in hospitality businesses. You can reach us at hello@chefted.co.uk.

Our order process and payments are conducted by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com. Paddle provides all customer service enquiries relating to billing and handles returns. When you purchase a subscription, your contract for the purchase is with Paddle, and Paddle's buyer terms also apply.

You must provide accurate registration details and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under accounts within your organisation, including accounts you invite. You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to bind your organisation to these terms.

Chefted is sold on a per-licence subscription basis, billed monthly or annually in advance. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before renewal. You may change licence quantities at any time; changes are prorated by Paddle.

Prices are shown inclusive or exclusive of tax as indicated at checkout; Paddle collects and remits applicable sales tax and VAT.

You agree not to:

• upload recordings of individuals without their knowledge and consent;
• upload unlawful, harassing, discriminatory, obscene or infringing content;
• use the service to make automated employment decisions without human review;
• reverse engineer, scrape, resell or attempt to bypass access controls or tenant isolation;
• probe, load-test or interfere with the security or availability of the platform;
• use the service to build a competing product or to train third-party AI models on our outputs.

Assessments generated by Ted, our AI-assisted Skills Coach, are guidance only. They are probabilistic, may contain errors, and must not be used as the sole basis for disciplinary, pay or employment decisions. A qualified manager should review outcomes that affect an individual.

You retain ownership of the content your organisation uploads, including videos, notes and authored skills. You grant us a limited licence to host, process and transmit that content solely to provide the service. We own the Chefted platform, software, branding and the global content library, and no rights are transferred to you other than the right to use the service during your subscription.

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be communicated where practical. Support is provided by email at hello@chefted.co.uk during UK business hours.

We may suspend or terminate access where there is non-payment, a breach of these terms, unlawful use, or a risk to the security of the platform or other customers. Where reasonable we will notify you first and give you an opportunity to remedy the issue. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. On termination you may request an export of your data within 30 days, after which it may be deleted.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees paid by you in that period, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data beyond our reasonable control.

We may update these terms to reflect changes to the service or the law. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
